It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Darby Bukowski, our Seattle Community Engagement Director, and a cherished member of the ACMP community. Darby passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, due to complications during childbirth, just one day after welcoming her son, Wyatt, into the world.

Darby served ACMP with extraordinary dedication, heart, and vision. As a Community Engagement Director, she was a catalyst for connection—building community with intention, generosity, and warmth. She had a rare ability to make people feel seen and included, and her leadership strengthened our chapter in enduring ways. Her presence brought energy, care, and possibility to every conversation, every meeting, and every initiative she touched.

We are devastated by this loss and share in the grief felt by those who knew and were inspired by her. Our thoughts are with her husband, Jackson, baby Wyatt, and the Bukowski and Byam families during this unimaginable time.

Her family has created a memorial page which includes ways to offer support:  www.darbybukowski.com. Those who wish to contribute to Wyatt’s future or share condolences may do so through the resources listed on the site.

Darby will be deeply missed. We honor her leadership, her friendship, and the indelible mark she left on all of us. May we continue to carry forward the spirit with which she led—one of inclusion, compassion, and wholehearted engagement.

Sincerely,

The ACMP PNW Chapter Board
